Pentagon Talent are currently working with a highly regarded top 30 international law firm that is looking to appoint a Tax Senior to join its in-house tax team in London or Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative global finance function, supporting tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions while working closely with external advisers and overseas finance teams.

This role would suit someone with experience across both personal and corporate tax who is looking to broaden their exposure within a large international organisation.

The Role

As a Tax Senior, you'll play an important part in ensuring tax compliance obligations are met across the UK and internationally.

Working within a supportive in-house tax team, you'll be involved in a broad range of tax matters while building strong relationships with colleagues, advisers and tax authorities.

This role can be based in either the London or Manchester office.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting with UK and international tax compliance, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, tax provisions, relief claims and tax payments.
  • Supporting the preparation of personal, corporate and partnership tax computations and returns.
  • Liaising with UK and overseas tax authorities regarding partner and entity tax matters.
  • Working closely with offshore finance teams and external advisers to support international tax compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring statutory and tax filing deadlines alongside external advisers to ensure compliance calendars remain accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting with the calculation and preparation of tax payments.
  • Requesting certificates of tax residence to support withholding tax compliance.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll ideally have

  • Experience preparing personal tax returns.
  • Experience preparing corporate tax returns.
  • Experience preparing partnership tax returns.
  • CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA qualification, be studying towards one of these qualifications, or be qualified through experience.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to work confidently with financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
