Hours: 35 hrs 9am to 17:00pm Mon to Fri
Location: East London
Duration: 6 months ongoing contract
Must have: Enhanced Children DBS Certificate on update service or happy to apply for DBS Certificate.
Purpose of the Role: To support the Group Estate Maintenance Manager in delivering the planned and preventative maintenance programme. To support the Campus Facilities Managers in delivering a reactive maintenance service, undertaking general repairs and maintenance to the fabric and items of equipment forming part of the College estate as required. To update the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system with all maintenance work undertaken. To support the Facilities Managers in monitoring the condition of the College estate.
Maintenance Delivery & Estate Safety:
- Support the Group Estate Maintenance Manager in delivering the preventative maintenance programme.
- Support the Facilities Managers in responding promptly to reactive maintenance needs.
- Report any premises maintenance or reactive repairs required through the service desk/CAFM.
Person Specification - Education & Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Willingness to undertake role-related training, including health & safety, safeguarding, and facilities procedures.
- Relevant facilities, caretaking, or health & safety training.
Experience:
- Experience working in a facilities, estates, caretaking, maintenance, or support services environment.
- Experience supporting reactive maintenance, minor works, or general repairs.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Basic knowledge of facilities and estates services.
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within a college environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and conscientious, with a proactive and team-focused approach.
