Looking for experienced GPSC (GP Shared Care) Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for a well-established service based in Forest Hill, Lewisham.
Role Details:
- Position: GPSC Substance Misuse Recovery Worker
- Location: Forest Hill, Lewisham
- Pay rate: 15.50/hr. +HP
- Contract: Full Time | 2-3 Month Line Cover
- Start: ASAP
- Hours: Monday-Thursday: 9am-5pm, Friday: 9am-4:30pm
- Working Pattern: 1-2 days per week in GP Hubs across Lewisham, Remaining days based within the main office/service
Duties Include:
- Managing a caseload of adult service users within a GP Shared Care setting
- Supporting clients prescribed OST (Opiate Substitute Treatment)
- Delivering recovery-focused interventions and harm minimisation support
- Creating and reviewing personalised recovery plans
- Working closely with GPs, healthcare professionals and partner agencies
- Supporting clients with community/inpatient detox and rehabilitation pathways
- Maintaining accurate case notes and risk assessments
- Providing holistic support to improve health and wellbeing outcomes
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience within a GPSC / GP Shared Care Substance Misuse service
- Strong knowledge of OST / opiate treatment and prescribing processes
- Experience supporting clients with substance misuse needs
- Ability to manage mixed caseloads independently
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and recovery planning
Interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams next week.
