The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer of Economics to join a dynamic Business & Technology department within a well-established Further Education college. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver A Level Economics alongside modules up to Level 5, within a supportive and forward-thinking environment that embraces digital and blended learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging teaching across A Level Economics and related programmes (Level 1-5)
- Plan and prepare lessons aligned with awarding body standards
- Monitor student progress, set targets, and support achievement
- Deliver blended learning using digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and attainment
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Participate in open days, enrolment, and student recruitment activities
About You
- Degree in Economics or a related subject
- Experience teaching A Level / Level 3 Economics
- Strong understanding of teaching, learning & assessment in FE or Sixth Form
- Confident using digital tools and blended learning approaches
- Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / Level 5) or willingness to work towards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
