About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant to support learners with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical needs. This is a rewarding and specialist role requiring an individual who can provide high-quality educational, personal care, and healthcare support, enabling learners to access education safely and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with complex SEND needs.
- Support learners to access educational, vocational, sensory, and life-skills activities.
- Deliver personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene support.
- Administer medication in accordance with individual healthcare plans and organisational policies.
- Support learners requiring PEG feeding and other specialist medical interventions.
- Undertake manual handling duties, including the safe use of equipment.
