Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Term-Time)
Job Purpose: To provide academic and in-class support to students with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, stay engaged in lessons, and achieve their learning goals. This role focuses on educational support only and does not involve personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support
- Support students within lessons to understand tasks and instructions.
- Assist lecturers in delivering inclusive and engaging sessions.
- Help adapt materials to meet individual learning needs.
- 1:1 and Small Group Support
- Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support literacy, numeracy, and coursework completion.
- Encourage independent learning and problem-solving skills.
- Student Engagement
- Promote active participation and positive behaviour in the classroom.
- Build confidence, motivation, and self-esteem in learners.
- Support students in staying focused and organised.
