We are currently recruiting for an experienced Floating Support Worker to join a supportive service based in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals to maintain independent living and access appropriate community services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide floating support to clients with a range of support needs including homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, or tenancy sustainment.
- Carry out regular welfare checks, risk assessments, and support planning.
- Support clients with budgeting, benefits, appointments, and accessing local services.
- Maintain accurate case notes and ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Work in partnership with external agencies to promote positive outcomes for service users.
- Encourage independence and support clients in achieving personal goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within supported housing or floating support services.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and support planning.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
- Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one.
