Main Purpose of the Role

The Support Worker will provide high-quality, housing-related support to adults with a range of needs. The role focuses on delivering client-led support in line with individual support plans, organisational policies, and procedures. You will work collaboratively with service users to identify their strengths, support their aspirations, and promote independent living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored housing-related support based on individual support plans, safety planning, and aspirations assessments
  • Improve service users' quality of life and help prevent homelessness by promoting independent living skills and appropriate move-on options
  • Deliver one-to-one keywork sessions and ongoing support aligned with clients' needs
  • Support service users to access educational, leisure, and health-related activities, accompanying them when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service user records, including electronic records on organisational systems
  • Carry out housing management duties, including rent collection, reporting repairs, and managing the start and end of tenancies/licences
  • Promote and engage in effective multi-agency working with statutory, voluntary, and community organisations to manage risks and meet service user needs
  • Assist with domestic tasks where appropriate
  • Work in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in regular supervision, annual appraisals, and continuous professional development opportunities
