Homeless Navigator - Camden & IslingtonRough Sleeping & Complex Needs (Temporary Contract)Full time | Mon to Fri | 1 to 2 Month ContractAn opportunity has arisen for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to provide intensive, person centred support to individuals experiencing rough sleeping and multiple disadvantages. This is a temporary, full-time role covering approximately 1 to 2 months, with an immediate start.The position involves community based and street outreach work, supporting a small caseload of clients to move away from rough sleeping and work towards long term stability and wellbeing.Key Details:Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 9AM to 5PM or 10AM to 6PM)Pay: £15.20 per hour plus £1.93 holiday pay (total £17.03 per hour)Location: Community and outreach based across Camden & Islington areas Contract Type: Temporary (1 to 2 months)Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of up to 10 individuals with complex needs
- Provide end to end support from first contact to sustained engagement
- Deliver holistic, trauma informed interventions tailored to each individual
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate with multi agency partners
- Make use of a personalised budget to promote stability and meaningful activity
- Engage flexibly, including occasional street based work and weekend shifts (as agreed)
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting individuals who are rough sleeping and facing multiple disadvantages
- A strong understanding of trauma informed and psychologically informed approaches
- Knowledge of housing, mental health, substance use, VAWG, and safeguarding frameworks
- Experience working in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies
- Confidence in conducting risk assessments, care planning and goal setting
- A proactive, autonomous working style and the ability to build trust with hard to reach clients
