A well-known organisation based in Inverness is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This opportunity is open to both junior and senior candidates, offering flexibility for individuals at different stages of their careers. You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing a robust network infrastructure within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions
  • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal availability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and related network hardware
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing projects and upgrades
  • Ensure network security best practices are followed
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role (levels of experience considered from junior through to senior)
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Exposure to enterprise networking technologies (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
  • Familiarity with network security principles, including firewalls and VPNs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

On-site presence required 3-5 days a week in Inverness. Day rate between £200 and £500 depending upon experience. Outside IR35 6-month contract.
