About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a college in Romford on a temporary basis. You will deliver engaging lessons to further education students, supporting them to develop the knowledge and practical understanding required for careers in health and social care. This is a rewarding opportunity to shape learners' futures and prepare them for progression into higher education or employment within the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Health and Social Care lessons (Level 2–Level 3/BTEC)
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress
- Support students in developing theoretical knowledge and practical understanding
- Prepare learners for coursework, exams, and external assessments
- Differentiating teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
About You
- Degree in Health and Social Care or a related subject
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) – desirable
- Experience teaching in a college or FE setting
- Strong subject knowledge and industry insight
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passionate about supporting learners into health and care careers
Desirable
- Experience delivering BTEC or CACHE qualifications
- Industry experience within health and social care
- Familiarity with current UK FE curriculum and assessment frameworks
