Job Description

Morgan Hunt are working with an Ofsted Outstanding training provider who are recruiting for a Hair Tutor/Assessor in Colchester. This is a part time position (3 or 4 days per week) between Monday and Friday. This is a permanent role paying up to £30,000 pro rata plus bonuses. The client is looking for someone who possess an Assessing or Teaching qualification and has experience in deliver Hair qualifications.The Hair Tutor/Assessor will be responsible for:

  • Delivering and assessing the Levels 2 and 3 Hair Apprenticeships
  • Visiting salons to conduct assessments
  • Embedding Functional Skills
  • Ensuring all documentation is complete to meet awarding body compliance
  • Engaging with salon managers to promote the business and ensure future pipeline of learners
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews with the IQA

The Hair Assessor will need to have:

  • A Level 3 in Hairdressing
  • Salon experience working up to managerial level
  • Teaching or assessing experience
  • Assessor or Teaching qualification
  • A minimum of a grade C in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to meet company needs

In return the Hair Assessor will receive:

  • An annual salary of up to £30,000 pro rata
  • A bonus of £100 for each learner completed successfully on time
  • Opportunity to upskill
