Job Description

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work for one of our homelessness clients in Westminster (London). They are looking for an experienced and skilled Deputy Manager for 2 months with a possible extension.

Key Duties of the role: 1. Service Delivery Support

  • Assist the Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the project or service.
  • Ensure that the service meets quality standards, contractual obligations, and the needs of clients.
  • Support the development and delivery of person-centered support plans.

2. Staff Supervision and Management

  • Supervise and provide line management to a team of staff (e.g., support workers, project workers).
  • Support staff development through supervision sessions, performance reviews, and training coordination.
  • Help foster a positive and inclusive team culture.

3. Client Support Oversight

  • Ensure appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding measures are in place and followed.
  • Oversee the effective use of case management tools such as the CHAIN or In-Form systems.
  • Address complex client issues, occasionally taking a hands-on role in support delivery.

4. Operational Administration

  • Support budget management and resource allocation in the absence of the Service Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection policies.
  • Help maintain accurate records, reports, and audits as required.

5. Acting Up

  • Act as the Service Manager in their absence, including handling any emergencies or escalations.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and housing-related legislation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Working Monday-Friday (9-5) There is 8 sites within the service and you will be expected to be based at all.Please apply if you have the right experience!
