About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join a supportive team in Croydon. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working with vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain tenancies and move towards independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide housing-related support to clients with varying needs
- Support individuals with tenancy sustainment and independent living skills
- Carry out risk and needs assessments and create support plans
- Liaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation
- Promote safeguarding and ensure client wellbeing at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housing support, homelessness, or support work
- Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing pathways
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Desirable:
- Experience working with rough sleepers, substance misuse, or mental health
- Knowledge of Croydon housing services or similar boroughs
