About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join a supportive team in Croydon. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working with vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain tenancies and move towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide housing-related support to clients with varying needs
  • Support individuals with tenancy sustainment and independent living skills
  • Carry out risk and needs assessments and create support plans
  • Liaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation
  • Promote safeguarding and ensure client wellbeing at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housing support, homelessness, or support work
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing pathways
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS (preferred or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

  • Experience working with rough sleepers, substance misuse, or mental health
  • Knowledge of Croydon housing services or similar boroughs
