Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Tax Manager
- Prepare and submit UK personal tax returns for partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Oversee the end-to-end tax return process, from gathering information to final submission, addressing any issues that arise along the way.
- Monitor tax liabilities, payments, and filing obligations using HMRC Government Gateway.
- Utilise tax software, such as Digita, to produce high-quality returns and maintain meticulous attention to detail across a portfolio of partners.
Requirements of the Assistant Tax Manager
- Proven experience in preparing UK personal tax returns, ideally for self-employed individuals or those with complex tax affairs.
- ATT or CTA qualified, or actively working towards a recognised tax qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax, with the ability to handle complex issues and work to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
