Job Description

We're hiring a Building Safety Pre-Construction Manager to lead the planning and coordination of critical building safety projects across a large residential portfolio. You'll manage safety surveys (like PAS9980 and intrusive inspections), coordinate design teams, and ensure compliance with UK building safety laws. This role is key to driving safety improvements, maintaining the "golden thread" of safety data, and supporting project delivery before construction begins. Ideal for someone with strong pre-construction or project management experience in housing or construction. Hybrid working from a London-based office.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of UK building safety legislation (e.g. Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, PAS9980)

  • Experience managing pre-construction, feasibility studies, or remedial works

  • Familiar with design coordination, CDM regulations, and working with Principal Designers

  • Confident managing external consultants and contractors

  • Excellent project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills

  • Proficient in tools like Excel, Word, and report tracking systems

  • Membership of RIBA, CIOB, RICS or equivalent is a plus
