Our client, Morgan Hunt, is working with a leading Northwest charity who provide accommodation and support for vulnerable people at risk of homelessness in and across the Northwest. Support services are aimed at helping customers to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to maintain a stable home and a structured lifestyle before assisting them in the process of securing or retaining permanent independent accommodation.
This is a mixed, over 18 service in a hostel setting in Blackburn on a shift pattern working waking nights 8pm - 8am on a rota basis.
The role - Night Support Worker:
- Completing hourly patrols of the building ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers living in the hostel.
- Monitoring CCTV of the premises to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers, monitoring who is coming in and out of the building.
- Engaging with customers living at the hostel and using initiative to coordinate activities at the accommodation dependent on the interests of customers.
- Experience in providing housing management, housing related support, care and support, or housing advice in any of the following fields: housing management, supported housing, housing advice work, youth and community work or other work supporting homeless people.
- Aware of and understanding safeguarding principles.
