We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Beauty Lecturer to join a college in East London on a temporary, part-time basis. You will deliver engaging and practical lessons to further education students, supporting them in developing the technical skills and industry knowledge required for careers within the beauty sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners and prepare them for progression into employment or further study in the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Beauty Therapy lessons (Level 2-Level 3/BTEC or equivalent)
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in beauty treatments
  • Prepare learners for coursework, practical assessments, and exams
  • Differentiating teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and inclusive salon/classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

About You

  • Relevant qualification in Beauty Therapy or a related subject
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) - desirable
  • Experience teaching in a college or FE setting
  • Strong practical skills and up-to-date industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for supporting learners into beauty careers

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering BTEC, VTCT, or NVQ qualifications
  • Industry experience within beauty therapy or salon environments
  • Familiarity with current UK FE curriculum and assessment frameworks
