The University of Aberdeen is undertaking a major transformation programme to modernise its Student Management System (SMS), with the goal of simplifying processes, adopting modern technologies, and enhancing the student experience. To support this multi-year initiative, the university is recruiting a Programme Manager and a Business Systems Analyst to help deliver a comprehensive new system.
The role requires an experienced Business Analyst to support large and complex business systems transformation projects. The successful candidate should be skilled in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, mapping processes, and evaluating technical solutions. They should be comfortable working with both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall approaches and have experience with testing processes and business systems integration.
Candidates should ideally be degree educated (or have equivalent experience), hold a business analysis qualification, and have strong experience using tools such as Visio, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
The role also requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead analysis activities across multidisciplinary teams, build relationships at different levels, and proactively solve problems.
