We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor (Disrepair) to join our Repairs Team, managing legal disrepair cases and helping ensure residents receive a high-quality, timely, and professional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage legal disrepair cases effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of properties.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide professional advice to residents regarding their disrepair issues.
- Monitor progress and outcomes of legal cases.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to disrepair cases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS) are desirable.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in building surveying, particularly in disrepair.
- Experience in managing legal cases and liaising with legal professionals.
- Familiarity with housing association practices is an advantage.
