Company We're currently working with Scotland's largest independent M&E contractor to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Manager to join their expanding team.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Building Services Mechanical Engineer who enjoys the technical aspects of engineering but wants to play a more influential role in project delivery.

Whether you're currently working within a consultancy and would like to see your designs through to construction, or you're already working for a contractor and looking to join one of Scotland's most respected names in the industry, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.

Working on major projects across the commercial, custodial, education, data centres and morem you'll act as the technical link between design and construction, ensuring engineering solutions are practical, buildable and delivered to the highest standards.

Responsibilities Reviewing and developing mechanical building services designs.

Providing technical support to project delivery teams from design through to commissioning.

Liaising with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical challenges.

Driving value engineering and buildable design solutions.

Reviewing technical submissions, specifications and calculations.

Supporting procurement of mechanical packages.

Ensuring compliance with current regulations, standards and client requirements.

Mentoring engineers and helping develop technical capability across the business.

Qualifications / Experience A background in Mechanical Building Services Engineering.

Consultancy or contractor experience delivering complex building services projects.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling and public health systems.

A practical approach with an interest in seeing projects successfully delivered on site.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with design teams, clients and operational staff.

HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
