Hybrid with only 2-3 office days per month | South of Scotland | 45,000 - 50,000 per annum. Morgan Hunt are currently supporting a well-established public sector organisation with the appointment of a Senior Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders, influencing decision-making, and supporting long-term financial planning within a complex organisation. The position offers a broad remit across financial management, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, with exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business partnering with senior operational stakeholders
  • Budget setting, forecasting and 5-year financial planning
  • Financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting and constructively challenging budget holders
  • Supporting and developing junior finance staff
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

About you:

  • CCAB qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting experience
  • Confident presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience within public sector, housing, education, NHS, charity or wider regulated environments would be beneficial
