An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance and health & safety across a large housing portfolio. This is a temporary role for 3-6 months. There is a requirement for a minimum of 3 days a week in the Selkirk office, with visits to tenants' homes on an ongoing basis.
The role involves:
- Managing compliance programmes including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella and lift safety, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met while promoting a strong health & safety culture.
- Managing compliance inspections and associated works.
- Leading and developing a compliance team.
- Overseeing contractor performance, procurement and budgets.
- Monitoring risk, compliance data and KPI reporting.
Comprehensive knowledge of housing construction methods, repairs, and best practice is required, along with experience of working with risk management systems and an understanding of the role of the Scottish Housing Regulator. A relevant technical qualification (or equivalent experience) and a full UK driving licence are required.
