An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance and health & safety across a large housing portfolio. This is a temporary role for 3-6 months. There is a requirement for a minimum of 3 days a week in the Selkirk office, with visits to tenants' homes on an ongoing basis.
The role involves:
- Managing compliance programmes including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella and lift safety, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met while promoting a strong health & safety culture.
- Managing compliance inspections and associated works.
- Leading and developing a compliance team.
- Overseeing contractor performance, procurement and budgets.
- Monitoring risk, compliance data and KPI reporting.
Requirements include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of housing construction methods, repairs, and best practice.
- Experience of working with risk management systems and understanding of the role of the Scottish Housing Regulator.
- A relevant technical qualification (or equivalent experience) and a full UK driving licence.
