An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance and health & safety across a large housing portfolio. This is a temporary role for 3-6 months. There is a requirement for a minimum of 3 days a week in the Selkirk office, with visits to tenants' homes on an ongoing basis.

The role involves managing compliance programmes including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella and lift safety, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met while promoting a strong health & safety culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing compliance inspections and associated works
  • Leading and developing a compliance team
  • Overseeing contractor performance, procurement and budgets
  • Monitoring risk, compliance data and KPI reporting
  • Supporting health & safety, CDM and audit functions
  • Driving service improvement and customer satisfaction

Essential Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of housing construction methods, repairs, and best practice
  • Experience of working with risk management systems
  • Experience of developing technical specifications
  • Understanding of the role of the Scottish Housing Regulator
  • A relevant technical qualification (or equivalent experience) and a full UK driving licence are required.
