The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Planning Officer to join a Development Management team for a period of around 3 months. Hybrid working is available with a requirement to travel to Oban/North West Argyll every 2-3 weeks.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a high-quality planning service through the processing and determination of planning and related applications, providing pre-application advice, undertaking site visits, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with planning committee processes.

Candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' post-qualification planning experience
  • Sound knowledge of Development Management legislation and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience of the Scottish planning system
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage a varied workload independently

Experience within a Local Authority setting, rural planning matters, and Development Management software systems would be advantageous.

Closing date for the role is 12pm on 21st May.
