Morgan Hunt are seeking skilled and reliable Painters to join our Housing Maintenance team within a large local authority. The role involves working across a range of residential properties, including void (empty) homes and tenanted properties, helping to maintain and improve housing standards across the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of painting and decorating, including surface preparation, emulsion, glossing, and finishing
- Prepare and redecorate void properties ready for new tenants
- Undertake maintenance and redecoration work in occupied homes
- Ensure high-quality finishes in line with required standards
- Identify and report any additional maintenance issues within properties
- Work safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Deliver a professional and respectful service when working in tenanted properties
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter, ideally within social housing or maintenance
- Ability to carry out a wide range of decorating tasks to a high standard
- Good knowledge of materials, techniques, and surface preparation
- Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
