Morgan Hunt are looking for skilled and dependable Plumbers to join a Housing Maintenance team within a large local authority. This role involves working across a variety of residential properties, including void (empty) homes and tenanted properties, delivering high-quality plumbing and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of plumbing work, including installation, repairs, and maintenance
- Prepare and complete plumbing works in void properties ready for new tenants
- Undertake responsive and planned maintenance in occupied homes
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to a high standard
- Work on systems including pipework, bathrooms, kitchens, and heating systems (basic)
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and health & safety standards
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service in tenanted properties
- Accurately record work completed and materials used
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plumber, ideally within social housing or maintenance
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Ability to carry out a wide range of plumbing tasks independently
- Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use)
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
