Morgan Hunt are seeking experienced and reliable Joiners to join a Housing Maintenance team within a large local authority. This role involves working across a portfolio of residential properties, including both void (empty) properties and tenanted homes, ensuring all joinery and repair works are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of joinery work, including repairs, installations, and maintenance
- Work on void properties to prepare them for new tenants
- Undertake responsive and planned maintenance in occupied homes
- Install and repair doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, and other wooden fixtures
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service when working in tenanted properties
- Accurately record work completed and materials used
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter, ideally within social housing or maintenance environments
- Ability to carry out a wide range of joinery tasks independently
- Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use)
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
