Morgan Hunt are looking for qualified and dependable Electricians to join a Housing Maintenance team within a large local authority. The role involves working across a range of residential properties, including void (empty) homes and tenanted properties, delivering high-quality electrical and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of electrical work, including installation, testing, inspection, and fault finding
- Complete electrical works in void properties to prepare them for new tenants
- Undertake responsive repairs and planned maintenance in occupied homes
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
- Complete certification and maintain accurate records of all work carried out
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service when working in tenanted properties
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Experience in domestic maintenance, ideally within social housing
- Testing and inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable
- Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
