Morgan Hunt are delighted to work with a Public Sector organisation as they are looking to welcome a Procurement Specialist to their high performing team. You will lead and deliver end-to-end procurement activities across goods, services, and works, ensuring compliance, value for money, and effective risk management. You will also work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan and implement procurement strategies within a category management approach, while supporting sustainability goals and continuous improvement in processes and governance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage procurement exercises from strategy development through to contract award and implementation
- Provide guidance on procurement routes, compliance, and governance requirements
- Develop and deliver category strategies to optimise spend and achieve efficiencies
- Support stakeholders with varying levels of procurement knowledge and promote best practice
- Embed sustainable procurement principles, including social value and environmental considerations
- Contribute to contract development, negotiation, and ongoing contract management
- Analyse spend and market data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities
- Support the development of procurement policies, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
- CIPS Qualified (opportunity to work towards MCIPS on offer)
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and practices
- Experience delivering end-to-end procurement activities
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator able to influence and challenge stakeholders
