Your new company You will be working for a leading UK regulatory body within the energy sector. This role is an Internal Communications Manager for a 12 month FTC to strengthen how they inform, engage and connect colleagues from across the organisation. The role is central to helping teams communicate effectively, supporting organisational change, and ensuring content across their channels is clear, accessible and aligned with corporate priorities. You will act as a trusted business partner to keep departments, creating high quality written content and delivering change focussed communications that help colleagues understand and adopt ways of working.

To be successful in the role you will need to have:

  • Experience developing and delivering internal communication plans, channels or campaigns, including supporting organisational or people related initiatives
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and accessible content for intranet articles, newsletters, briefings and staff updates
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the confidence to advise colleagues, build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience creating, publishing or maintaining content across internal channels, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and aligned with organisational priorities
  • Experience supporting or delivering change communications, helping colleagues understand, navigate and adopt new ways of working
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work at pace in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive, solutions focused and collaborative approach, with a commitment to improving employee engagement and the overall staff experience

Key Outputs and Deliverables

  • Clear, targeted communication plans for business areas and organisational programmes.
  • High-quality intranet content (news stories, updates, guidance, blogs).
  • Regular internal newsletters and engagement content.
  • Change communications materials, including FAQs, briefings, turn-key messaging packs and leadership announcements.
  • Insight driven recommendations to improve channel effectiveness, informed by analytics and feedback (reflecting Civil Service expectations around evaluating internal communications)
