About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing association in Glasgow, seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the community by delivering high-quality housing management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of housing services, including tenancy management, rent arrears, allocations, voids, estate management, and anti-social behaviour.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns, conducting home visits, and offering tailored housing advice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, local authorities, and partner agencies.
- Ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and coordinate access for statutory inspections.
- Identify and report property repairs and environmental issues while supporting community initiatives.
- Manage estate budgets and contribute to achieving performance targets.
- Handle complaints and advocate on behalf of tenants.
- Support community engagement and resident groups, including attending evening meetings.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies.
- Work flexibly and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housing management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- A commitment to values such as Caring, Open, and Respect.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or qualification in housing, social work, or a related field.
- Evidence of continuous professional development in housing management.
