As Head of Financial Projects, you'll lead a range of finance transformation initiatives, helping to strengthen financial reporting, improve systems and processes, and provide meaningful insight that supports strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help ensure that financial information is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to support future growth and long-term planning.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Motivate the Team: Inspire and lead the Corporate Services Team to adapt to change and deliver exceptional results.
  • Oversee Management Accounts: Manage and improve the monthly accounts process, offering valuable insights into income and expenditure.
  • Enhance Financial Systems: Evaluate and refine financial systems to ensure accurate, meaningful data, streamline processes, and support audits.
  • Support Business Planning: Contribute to the development of financial systems that facilitate long-term business planning.
  • Assist with Year-End Accounts: Play a key role in preparing year-end accounts, working closely with auditors and budget holders.

Experience Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimising financial systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and drive change.
