We currently have live a role for an experienced electrical candidate at either engineer, senior or principal working for a medium sized specialist MEP consultancy. This company is involved heavily in the property sector, providing engineering design and asset management services. This is therefore suited to an engineer who enjoys a mix of being out and about on site/surveys as well as design.

The Glasgow team is small and the working environment is trusting and flexible. They operate hybrid and there is no micromanagement, it is much less corporate feel to it than many organisations in the industry. Given travel to sites is part of the role, a valid UK driving license is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality electrical engineering design solutions across a broad range of property sector projects, from feasibility through to detailed design and site support.
- Undertake site surveys, inspections and condition surveys of existing electrical systems across commercial and mixed-use assets.
- Prepare technical reports including condition surveys, dilapidations, asset management plans, energy studies and other property-focused technical studies.
- Provide engineering input to asset management and lifecycle planning, advising clients on system performance, compliance, risk and future investment.
- Liaise directly with clients, landlords, managing agents and wider project stakeholders, building trusted professional relationships.
- Support delivery of smaller, fast-paced projects, gaining exposure to a wide variety of building types and electrical systems.
- Carry out site visits during construction and refurbishment works, responding to technical queries and reviewing installations for compliance with design intent.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Post-graduate experience within an MEP consultancy or similar built-environment role.
- Proven experience delivering electrical design solutions including refurbishment and existing buildings.
- Strong background in site-based work, including condition surveys, inspections and technical assessments of electrical installations.
- Experience producing technical reports such as condition surveys, dilapidations, energy studies or asset management documentation.
- Commercially aware, with experience working on smaller, fast-turnaround projects and managing multiple workstreams.
