Morgan Hunt are looking to recruit a Project Manager for a role which involves delivering fire safety and remediation works across a portfolio of residential buildings. Following changes introduced and ongoing requirements, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Safety Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale fire safety assessment programme. This role will play a key part in ensuring fire safety compliance across approximately 80 buildings, working as part of a small, specialist team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate fire safety assessment programmes across multiple high-rise residential buildings
- Review and manage outputs from fire engineering consultants, including internal FRAs and external wall assessments (FRAEW)
- Track and monitor remedial actions, ensuring delivery within agreed priorities and timescales
- Work closely with the Fire Safety Advisor to interpret recommendations and support implementation
- Lead and chair internal stakeholder meetings, providing updates on progress and risk
- Liaise with internal departments, contractors, elected members, and residents
- Manage communication workflows using internal tracking systems
- Support reporting across phased delivery
About You
- Experience in fire safety, building safety, or construction compliance
- Strong understanding of fire risk assessments (FRA) and ideally external wall systems (cladding/FRAEW)
- Background in social housing, local authority, or large property portfolios is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively
- Comfortable chairing meetings and driving actions to completion
- Desirable NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent
- Experience with high-rise residential buildings
- Knowledge of post-Grenfell fire safety legislation and remediation programmes
Additional Information
- Hybrid working (mix of office, home, and site visits)
- Flexibility required to attend site inspections and stakeholder meetings
- Initial 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
