We have a new opportunity available in Glasgow for a reputable building services consultancy as they search for a CAD Technician to join their business. This role will predominantly support the electrical design department. This is a secure role, working for a company with a healthy pipeline of work - small, medium and large scale developments across a variety of sectors, low staff turnover and a positive social culture.
Role
- Produce 2D CAD drawings for building services designs (electrical focus)
- Prepare lighting layouts, power layouts, containment drawings, schematics, and panel drawings
- Amend and update drawings in line with engineer mark-ups and client comments
- Assist in the coordination of electrical services with mechanical and architectural drawings
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure document control procedures are followed
- Liaise with engineers and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy
- Ensure drawings comply with current industry standards and company procedures
Qualifications/Experience
- HNC / HND in CAD or related subject
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with M&E/Building Services is desirable
- A valid UK driving license
