Finance Assistant Morgan Hunt is working with a housing association that requires an experienced Finance Assistant to provide temporary support to its busy finance team.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day processing of financial transactions and help ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained.
Key responsibilities Processing purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments Checking coding, approvals and supporting documentation Assisting with regular payment runs Completing supplier statement and bank reconciliations Investigating invoice discrepancies and responding to finance queries Maintaining accurate supplier and ledger records Supporting the wider finance team during a busy period Undertaking other transactional finance duties as required Candidate requirements Previous experience working within a finance or accounts team Strong purchase ledger and reconciliation experience Good attention to detail and accuracy Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines Previous housing association, public sector or not-for-profit experience would be advantageous Available to begin a temporary assignment at short notice This position would suit a reliable and hands-on Finance Assistant who can integrate quickly into an established team and provide immediate transactional support.
