This is a great opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to join one of Scotland's top 100 businesses in their Glasgow office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to hone their skills on bespoke, technically challenging, design and construct projects in specialist and regulated markets, working directly with world leading end user clients.
Role
- Coordinate MEP services within the BIM model, ensuring effective integration with Architectural design and resolving clashes using Autodesk Navisworks.
- Lead the development and coordination of MEP layouts, working closely with Architectural teams to ensure spatial compatibility and design alignment.
- Manage MEP system routing and spatial requirements, ensuring seamless incorporation into Architectural elements such as ceilings, risers, and plant areas.
- Act as the primary interface for MEP coordination, collaborating with Architectural teams to resolve clashes and maintain design intent.
- Review MEP models for accuracy and buildability, ensuring alignment with Architectural constraints and project BIM standards including ISO 19650.
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Building Services / Mechanical / Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a BIM Coordination role with a strong focus on MEP services.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for MEP modelling and coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and model federation.
- Experience managing models within a Common Data Environment (CDE), such as Autodesk BIM 360.
- Solid understanding of UK BIM standards and processes, including ISO 19650.
- Demonstrable experience coordinating MEP services with Architectural and Structural disciplines on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of building services systems, installation constraints, and spatial coordination requirements.
