Morgan Hunt are working with a consultancy in Edinburgh who are looking to add a Senior Structural Design Engineer to their growing team. You will get the chance to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of complex designs, contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions, and support the growth of a dynamic engineering team.
- Lead the structural design and analysis of projects using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Ensure designs comply with UK standards, Eurocodes, and project-specific requirements
- Undertake design checks and peer reviews, including oversight of subcontractor and third-party designs
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on projects from concept through to construction
- Contribute to innovation, value engineering, and sustainable design approaches
Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, ETABS, or similar)
Experience working across multiple sectors and on a variety of project scales
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
