A global and highly prestigious organisation are currently recruiting for a Security Manager for their facility in Essex. Working as part of the site’s management team, the focus of the role will be managing the security team and all security processes and operations for the site. This is a varied role with a strong operational element but also opportunity to be involved in the security aspects of unique projects in the facility.
Key functions within the position include:
- Provide leadership, training and support to the site security team (3rd party security staff)
- Implementation and improvement of prescribed security procedures and practices
- Drive the focus on the Security related ISO Certifications and Internal and customer Security standards
- Assist in the monitoring and policing of security processes
- Initiate and conduct investigations to resolve security incidents and breaches
- Conduct security inductions for key site visitors
To be considered for the position you will need to have previous security management experience gained in a commercial security, military or police environment. Previous experience of managing a team is also essential. The position will require you to be security vetted to SC level. The role involves working with a variety of high level internal and external stakeholders so excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Experience of performing security audits and any knowledge of ISO standards are preferred.
The position is site-based Monday to Friday on a 37.5 hour week. Benefits include a 10% bonus, pension up to 9%, private healthcare and 26 days holiday.
