About the Role
Are you experienced in inspecting CNC machined parts, or are you an existing Inspector looking for a new challenge? A specialist manufacturing organisation is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join a precision engineering company renowned for producing high-quality, world-class products. In this role, you'll carry out dimensional inspections of both sub-contracted and in-house manufactured components, working directly from engineering drawings. You'll use a range of hand measurement tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play an active part in maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect components, ideally CNC machined parts, to ensure they meet engineering specifications
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings
- Use measurement equipment to verify part accuracy
- Support problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain clear communication with the wider team to resolve issues efficiently
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns
- Participate in corrective actions and improvement processes
- Assist in maintaining quality databases and reviewing non-conformance data
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience inspecting precision components
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- CMM experience (MITUTOYO mcosmos basic programming) is an advantage
- Knowledge of quality standards, Six Sigma, or SPC desirable
