Senior HSE Advisor to join a well-established manufacturing organisation committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of the Facilities & Maintenance team, helping to shape and strengthen the site's HSE culture.
The Role Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will provide expert guidance and support across all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Working closely with operational teams, you'll ensure compliance with UK legislation while driving initiatives that improve safety performance and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and internal standards.
Lead risk assessments, COSHH management and safe systems of work.
Support audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Monitor HSE performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and new starter inductions.
Manage contractor safety and permit-to-work processes.
Promote behavioural safety through regular shop floor engagement.
Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and HR to embed HSE best practice across the business.
About You You'll be a proactive and approachable HSE professional with experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting.
Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at every level, you'll be confident influencing positive change and fostering a culture where safety comes first.
Essential: NEBOSH General Certificate.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting incident investigations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable: NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards). IOSH membership. Experience in a regulated or safety-critical industry. Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
