Due to a significant uplift in work, a well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation are looking to hire multiple maintenance technicians (mechanical and/or electrical) on a permanent basis. The position is working in a unique, clean and fast-paced production environment with a range of complex, high-speed machinery and auxiliary plant equipment. Working a 24/7 shift pattern on a 35-day rotation (mixture of 12 hour days and nights), this position is based on an average 34-hour week with opportunity for overtime at x1.5. The position involves working 14 shifts in 35 days.
Key responsibilities:
- Reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of complex production equipment and systems.
- Ensuring minimal downtime within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Supporting the maintenance manager in the delivery of projects and site requirements.
- Aiding in the delivery of continuous improvement strategies and in supporting projects to improve equipment efficiencies.
- Update planned maintenance tasks and shutdown work on CMMS system.
- Liaising with suppliers when required to repair and/or maintain equipment and buildings.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must hold a Level 3 NVQ/C&G qualification (or higher) in either mechanical or electrical engineering. Maintenance experience in a similar position within a manufacturing/production or distribution environment is also required. Successful candidates will undergo security vetting and will need a clean criminal record and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years.
