We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a fast-growing, global Finance team based near Fareham. This is a standalone role within a £50m turnover business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with up to two years’ experience to take ownership of the credit control function in a fast-paced, international environment. You will be responsible for managing and chasing payments from a diverse customer base across Europe and Asia, while working closely with colleagues as part of a wider global finance function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take full ownership of the credit control process in a standalone role for a £50m turnover business
- Proactively chase outstanding payments from customers across Europe and Asia using phone, email and written communication
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables and healthy cash flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activity and customer interactions
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes efficiently and professionally
- Collaborate with internal and international finance teams to support the resolution of outstanding issues
- Prepare regular reports on account status, debtor performance and collection activity
- Escalate high-risk or problematic accounts in line with company policies and procedures
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in credit control, collections or a similar finance role
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal professionally with international customers
- A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with Salesforce is an advantage)
- The ability to work independently, take ownership of your workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment
