An established engineering organisation is seeking a Production Engineer to join its project engineering team. This role is responsible for managing engineering activities from concept through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Acting as a key technical contact, you will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate engineering project tasks to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners
- Carry out DFM and DFA reviews to ensure manufacturability and efficient assembly
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials within SAP/ERP systems
- Support suppliers, workshop technicians, and assembly teams with technical guidance
- Coordinate and support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality systems, and internal processes
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and production engineering principles
- Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Comfortable working across multiple departments on multidisciplinary projects
- Experience in regulated or pharmaceutical process environments is desirable
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
