A leading engineering manufacturer is looking for a Senior CNC Turner to produce high‑precision components in a low‑volume, high‑value environment for their specialist manufacturing site in Fareham. You’ll take the lead on programming, setting and operating CNC lathes while supporting and mentoring others in the team.
What You’ll Do
- Program, set and operate CNC turning machines
- Produce high‑quality components to drawings and tight tolerances
- Select tooling, fixtures and attachments for each job
- Load raw materials and manage machine set‑ups
- Carry out routine maintenance and report issues
- Support, train and mentor new starters
- Recommend improvements to drawings and processes
What You’ll Bring
Lathe machining experience and some CNC programming experience. Strong attention to detail and quality with logical problem‑solving approach. It is desirable to have experience with Okuma lathes or Fanuc controls.
