Overview
Fire Alarm Service Engineer β Manchester β Birmingham. Morgan Fire Protection is a specialist provider of planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While the majority of Morgan Fire\βs operational resources are based around London, we provide national coverage through our reactive delivery model. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team servicing the North West.
Base pay range
- Basic Salary β upto Β£35,000 per annum

Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, service, and repairs on fire detection systems at customer sites, ensuring they are kept in good working order and in accordance with current regulations and standards.
- Conduct routine testing and inspections, including alarm activations, visual assessments, and functional checks, ensuring systems operate effectively.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for all work performed.
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, carrying out necessary repairs and troubleshooting as required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identify and report faults, potential risks, or system issues to the relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and emerging technologies to ensure best practice.
- Comply fully with all health, safety, and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or in a similar field-based engineering role
- Strong background in maintaining, servicing, and fault-finding on fire detection systems
- Sound knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including BS 5839
- Excellent technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
- High attention to detail with a methodical and safety-focused approach
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing and prioritising workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota (1 in 6), with additional pay provided
