I am delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with this high profile International FMCG Manufacturing Group, with t/o now in excess of £100m, to recruit this key Group Financial Controller role based at their HO/Business Centre in Warrington, Cheshire. My client seeks a high calibre candidate with a proven strong track record of financial control within a Group Reporting environment.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, key responsibilities/challenges will include:
- Lead, coach and develop the Finance team, including 5 direct Management level reports.
- To "own" and develop the Group financial control "engine room", delivering an accurate, timely and robust month-end close with "zero surprise" reporting, group consolidation and statutory compliance framework across the Group - consisting of 4 significant sized Production sites within the UK & W Europe.
- Lead statutory reporting and year-end accounts, coordinating Audit planning and delivery.
- Own Corporation Tax compliance delivery across the group.
- Provide proactive weekly cash and working capital reporting and forecasting.
- Shared Services oversight to ensure end-to-end process discipline across AP purchase-to-pay and AR order-to-cash transactions.
- Continuous improvement of timely and robust financial reporting and consolidation, including exploiting ongoing opportunities for increased systems automation.
- Operate as key point of contact with all professional stakeholders including Auditors, Tax authorities and Banking partners plus proactive daily liaison with functional Heads across the Group.
- Overall, to play a key role within the SMT to ensure the successful growth and development of this leading FMCG organisation.
Candidate profile:
- High calibre experienced qualified accountant with strong technical accounting, group reporting and consolidation experience and strong control mindset.
- Proactive and energetic approach, capable of providing constructive "challenge" and effective business improvements/solutions.
- Confident with excellent communication skills and high professional standards to be able to develop strong trusted relationships at all levels across the Group.
